The hit show garnered seven Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards (BATCC) and the group’s second trip to NYC to perform at the HOWL Festival as well as a special performance at Lincoln Center to celebrate the life and works of long-time Koldewyn collaborator, Martin Worman. Fayette Hauser
The beauty and bounty of drag, performance art, rock ’n’ roll and hallucinogenic heaven collided every time Fayette Hauser got dressed. Kegel Kater (Marquel) is an extreme makeup artist, normie flight attendant, and drag illusionist who played roles in Pearls Over Shanghai for 20 months, as well as Hot Greeks and other glittery Cockettes remounts by the Thrillpeddlers. Bay Area drag--the icons, inspiration and inclusivity--first called her up on stage 15 years ago, helped her become a woman(ish), and saved her life.

Pam Tent aka “Sweet Pam” was a core member of the Cockettes, where she sang and tap danced her way through the group's glory days. The show was reviewed in the Soho Weekly News: “In the debauched tradition of cabaret taken to its cheapest, most outlandish and altogether titillating repulsive extreme, this new revue is bound to scar sensitive viewers and torture weak kneed observers.” While in NY, she hooked up with Dee Dee Ramone while performing at CBGBs, as the fledgling punk rock scene was just about to explode. The author of Midnight at the Palace: My Life as a Fabulous Cockette, Pam was lauded for her in-depth chronicle of the flamboyant troupe and for her pre-Starbuck's look into the emerging gay scene in San Francisco. In 2013 Pam collaborated with Scrumbly Koldewyn on a rewrite of the original Cockette production, Tinsel Tarts in a Hot Coma, where she now took the role of gossip columnist, Vedda Viper, for the new Thrillpeddler production, and in 2014 she and Scrumbly reworked a Cockette staple, Pearls Over Shanghai, for a second encore at the Hypnodrome.
